Narcissi Valley – 2012 

Information for tourists and visitors of the Narcissi Valley!

    When a poetic narcissus (Narcissus angustifolia Curt.) is blossoming, the Narcissi Valley attracts the greatest interest, though its beauties in other seasons of the year are no less interesting. 
    About one month before blooming season starts, the reserve’s administration receives dozens of telephone calls and e-mails asking about flowering season in the given year. So, we decided to inform you, dear nature lovers, about the status of the Narcissi Valley through our web-page. The information will be updated on the regular basis. 
    The beginning of flowering is foreseen for early May this year. Please, be aware that the dates of the blooming period depend upon weather conditions: warm spring makes it earlier, while if the daily temperature is low, flowers start flowering a bit later. 
    Entrance fee: 12 UAH - adults, 5 UAH. - children.
    We would also like to inform you, that there is an eco-education center in the Narcissi Valley – the Museum of Narcissus. You can get there more detailed information about:
    • flora and fauna of the Valley; 
    • history of protection; 
    • people, who have greatly contributed to the Valley’s conservation; 
    • development, seeding and vegetative reproduction of the species; 
    • characteristic features of the poetic narcissus’ biology and ecology. 
    "The Museum of Narcissus" is a classical example of an European visiting-center, where information boards are the main means of communication.
