Dear colleagues!


The Conference will be held on September 1 –5, 2005 in the town of Rakhiv, Transkarpathian region, Ukraine.

Plenary, poster and section sessions will be held on September 2, 2005 in Assembly Halls of the Rakhiv District State Administration (1, Myru St., Rakhiv). On September 3 – 4 it is planned to participate in the events of the 15th International Hutsul Festival.


Hotels “Tysa” and “Evropa” (Europe) are reserved for lodging of the participants.


Registration will be held in the hotel “Tysa” (1, Ivana Franka St., Rakhiv) on the day of arrival – September 1, 2005 – beginning with 2 p.m. During registration the participants will be provided with a set of stationery and a volume of proceedings for free. 


Expenses for meals and accommodation are covered by the participants.

We kindly ask you to confirm your participation before August 20 and to send a request for lodging.


Approximate prices for hotel rooms are about 9 Euro (50 UAH) per person per night in a standard room (double) and about 42 Euro (250 UAH) per room of the prime class (whole room per night).


You can get to Rakhiv:

·          from Uzhgorod – by buses “Uzhgorod – Rakhiv”, “Uzhgorod - Yasinya”, “Uzhgorod - Chernivtsi”.

·          from Lviv – by train “Lviv – Rakhiv ” (departure – 3:25 p.m., arrival – 0:05).

·          from Ivano-Frankivsk – by diesel train “Ivano-Frankivsk - Rakhiv”; train “Lviv - Rakhiv” that goes through Ivano-Frankivsk and departs from there at 7 p.m.; buses “Ivano-Frankivsk - Mukachevo” (9 a.m.) and “Ivano-Frankivsk - Tyachiv” (3:45 p.m.).

·          from Chernivtsi – by buses “Chernivtsi - Mukachevo” and “Chernivtsi – Uzhgorod”.
