BOTANICAL PRESERVE “YULIVSKA HORA” /YULIVSKA MOUNTAIN/

It is located in the area of 176 ha, on the slopes of the island massif of the same name, of Vyhorlat-Hutynskiy range. The Yulivski mountains are notable for the warmest climate in the whole Ukrainian Carpathians, that had an essential influence on the formation of plant cover, characterized by many Balkan and Mediterranean species. In general, the vegetation of the preserve is similar to the Chorna Hora (Black mountain). The oak-beech forests and oak-groves, formed by durmast oak, bur oak are found here. The unique for Ukraine phytocoenoses of Adriatic oak (Quercus cerris) are of special interest.
